Congratulations to Cooper Boyd who struts out for his 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars tomorrow at David Cruickshank reserve.

Cooper Boyd and supporters

Coops is off to a great start to his career, becoming a premiership player as part of the colts 2020 premiership team. He is very nimble for a key position player, great at ground level and can take a towering overhead mark. Has proven to stand up and kick clutch goals at crucial times and is a nightmare matchup for any defender. He plays his footy with a great sense of passion and joy. Has huge potential and an enormous future at our great club. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for tomorrow. Have a great game Coops, kick a few snags and get a win tomorrow!!

14/4/23

Congratulations to Jarrod Brockbernd who charges out for his 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars tomorrow at Heathridge Park, Ocean Ridge at 3:05PM.

Big unit ‘Brockie’

This combative competitor is a great asset to any side, through his ability to crash packs, storm through a scrimmage and break away, while also being exceptional at ground level for his size. He has always proven to be a great target up forward and ever reliable down back time and time again. Jarrod was another important player in the colts 2020 premiership side and is one who stamps his authority on the game early and sets the tone for his team.

He has had his setbacks lately through injury and was sorely missed through the second half of the season last year. Although off the field he was never far away, always willing to lend a helping hand on game day and around the club. Now he’s back, hungry as ever to kickstart the Cougars campaign off with a bang!!

14/4/23

  • Congratulations to Mitch Price who storms out for his 50th club game for the Cougars tomorrow at Heathridge Park, Ocean Ridge at 1:10PM.

Mitch has had his fair share of ups and downs already in his short career suffering a broken neck on the way. However, through his strong determination and willpower, he courageously returned to football in 2020 where he was an integral part of the powerhouse Kris Trenberth led colts side. This team   ultimately went all the way to win the club’s first premiership in 7 years.

Mitch price on the way to 50 games ..

His efforts were rewarded at the end of the season when he  was unanimously voted as the club’s Most Courageous winner. Since his Colts days he has risen the ranks to play league and reserves football and has demonstrated his ability to break lines with long kicking and his ability to win contests.

Cougar Coaching update for 2023 – 4TH’S – WELCOME SCROOPY & TWANGA

The club is very excited to announce that Nathan Scroop & Beau Barratt will take the reigns as our new 4th’s Coaches.

Club Champion Beau Barratt

Scroopy & Twanga are great clubmen and have been involved at the Cougars for many years. On-field, both play with their heart on their sleeve and will do anything for their teammates and they will no doubt coach the same way!

They are big on creating a great footy environment for everyone and bring a wealth of experience to our coaching ranks. So, to all the Old Boys and Community Footballers out there that are wondering whether or not to play this year, with this huge announcement now’s the time to register and get on board with the Cougars in 2023!

Braydon Becker is a Cougar through and through, having played at our club with distinction. He has been officially appointed our BJC 2nd Colts Head Coach!

As a coach he will encourage player/skill development and brings a great deal of footy knowledge and passion to the job. We wish to congratulate him on his appointment and wish his BJC team all the best in 2023!
