Hawks Mark Caccetta 200 games …

Long serving club veteran achieves his 200th.

Our congratulations now go to Mark Caccetta who is a stalwart of the Pickering Brook Football Club having served as their Captain for many years. He has participated in 11 final round appearances since 2011 to our knowledge, finally achieving success in winning the Grand Final V’s Swan View in 2023.

Mark and his brother Steve  have won many club awards over past seasons with Mark being awarded Life membership of the hills Football Association in 2022. Season 2022 was a notable one for the club as the Hawks were rewarded by winning the HFA Champion Club  Award, held by mark below.

I had the pleasure of coaching Mark in 2012/13 and as captain in those years he was an inspirational leader when we were struggling to find enough players to form a team. He was very courageous rover and ‘went in where other players feared to tread’ This led to some serious injuries that affected his employment as a butcher, however he managed to keep working through the pain and was always ready to train and play for his teammates.

We wish Mark well in the future and look forward to his next milestone achievement.
