Round 1, 2 April 2022 (C1) Kalamunda V’s Ballajura
This round saw two stalwarts of the club achieve milestones, with Angelo Vallis playing his 200th game and Josh Harris running out for his 50th.
Both players helped their teams achieve victory as Angelo kicked a bag of goals for the reserve side to help them win by 92 points and Josh as one of our best players in the league side beating Ballajura by 15 points.
Our two colt’s sides won and so did our E1 side, E2 were beaten by a small margin by Forrestfield. Ladies to play next week.
The league side took the field with 5 new players who acquitted themselves very well and contributed to a good team effort against Ballajura, who are down from ‘B’ grade last season.
Aiden Adams was a standout booting three goals with Jack Cipro chipping in with a major.
Jake Jennings and Dillon Gava also made a strong contribution, Dillon replaced ‘Jacko’ Paduano who had to withdraw.
This was a great start to the season and with the number of young players we have available we should have a success in all grades.
