Review of the Kalamunda Cougars season 2021
This season has been a very satisfying one for our club, both on and off the field highlighted by the Colts winning their Grand Final with the C1 grade, C1 Reserves and the E3 grade playing off in the finals.
Our ladies team capped off a successful season finishing in 5th position with Cheney Kendall winning 2 fairest and bests during the season playing for Subiaco and Kalamunda.
During the season several players reached milestones for the club with Curtis Jack notching up his 200th in the C1’s followed by Daniel Brescacin and Brett van Groningen with their 150 games.
Trent Pottinger had an outstanding season winning the association fairest and best player in the C1 competition then topping this up winning the clubs fairest and best for the top side.
Other club members have been hailed for their performances this season; these have been posted on facebook thanks to Don Benson our club’s photographer who has taken some wonderful photos of our players and members during this season.
Our club coaching staff are to be congratulated with the fine effort and dedication they demonstrated in leading their teams during the season. The four men’s sides all finished the home and away season eligible to play finals which was an outstanding result.
The committee and football directors also deserve a special mention as running an organisation the size of our club harmoniously and successfully is testament to their hard work and vigilance.
The Kalamunda Cougars have a lot to look forward to in season 2022!
