Three more milestones in Round 8

Alex Haight, Reporting

Congratulations to Grace Allison who played her 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars on Saturday against Trinity Aquinas at Bill Grayden Reserve.

Grace is now in her fourth season at the club, she was runner up best and fairest in the women’s 2022 season and in recent times has stepped into the leadership group.

Grace in action …

Powerful in the contest and difficult to stop, she is often seen breaking through or fending off opposition tackles and winning the ball at clearances. She is a two-way hard running midfielder that can penetrate and kick goals becoming a very valuable player.

Well-done Grace, we love the way you go about your footy and the toughness you bring. May you have many successful seasons with the Cougars!

Congratulations to Tia Miller, who also played her 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars against Trinity Aquinas. Tia has been with the women’s team since day one and is now in her fifth season at the club.

Tia enjoying the action …She is everything you could ask for in a teammate, a great character who is selfless, committed and kind. She brings a high work rate, toughness at the contest and has great skills, often hitting the score board.

Well-done Tia on your milestone and continue to bring that skill and toughness throughout your career with the Cougars!

Congratulations also to Cody Lanzon who played his 50th club game  on Saturday for the Kalamunda Cougars at Swan Athletic sporting club.

Cody started his journey with the club back in 2022 at the young age of 16. He has a good chance of eclipsing the record for most colt’s games at the club which has stood for nearly 10 years.

Cody hard at it …

He is a hard running half back flanker, capable of breaking the lines and provides great energy for his team. Elevated to the leadership group this year he has taken his football to another level.

Cody has been a great clubman who has doubled up several times to help the other grades and volunteered with runner/water duties most weeks. He became a premiership player in his first year with his dad as coach, a truly special moment for himself and his family.

Well-done Cody on your first 50 games, we love your endeavor and your willingness to put up your hand and help the club out most weeks without being asked. We look forward to your future with the Cougars!

We wish to thank Don Benson for the fine photos
