Congratulations are due to Matthew Harbinson who played his 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars last Saturday when the thirds team clashed in round 2 against St Norbets (S.N.E.S.A). at the Pickering Brook Sports Club.
Mathew is a speedy and nimble left footed wingman capable of breaking the lines and opponents ankles. He is crafty up forward, often outsmarting his defender and has the ability to hit the scoreboard consistently. He is a colts premiership hero from 2022 and a player on the rise who is exciting to watch.
Congratulations also to Adrian Cowin who played his 50th club game for the Cougars on Saturday when the league side took on the Hamersley Carine ‘Hawks’ at Ray Owen reserve in round 2.
A.J. is a reliable tough defender with a great feel for the game. He makes smart decisions when rebounding out of defence and is rarely beaten. He has become a key pillar in the Leagues defence and dominated when playing in the the 2021 & 2022 colts premiership years. He has a bright future ahead of him at our great club and we wish him well.
A.J. has had a few setbacks over the journey with injuries however with his determination to be a best player, is something to be admired. He won Coach Bolton’s award for his performance in this round 2.
