Superannuation…?
For seventy odd years I’ve been buggered,
With all sorts of worry and pain,
As my super done nothing to help me’
As it looks like it’s gone down the drain!
I’ve spent a small fortune in fund fees,
And waited months for my statements to see,
But all I get back is a spreadsheet,
With returns taken down by huge fees.
I’ve a neurotic nerve as a torture,
Brought about by low interest rates,
And the return on funds from the market,
Makes me tear the hair from my pate.
My advisor keeps calling to tell me,
That it’s our lousy economy you see,
With the Global financial Crisis,
And the banks being brought to their knees.
So all my days are back on the shovel,
While my fund managers ‘swinging the lead’
And my friends all tell me in passing,
You’ve got to sack them instead!
