Congratulations to Brendyn McLeish who played his 50th club game this weekend for the Kalamunda Cougars at Ray Owen reserve.
Brendo is a highly skilled player with a precise left foot kick and a fiery character that plays on the edge. A valuable midfielder very capable of winning the ball down in the trenches, while he can also bring outside run.
He had a rough start to his journey with a season ending injury in round 1 in his first year and could only sit on the sidelines watching his team-mates win a flag on grand final day. He was delighted for his team- mates, however felt that he had missed his chance at being a part of something special.
The next year was redemption for him. Driven and focused to achieve the goal he had missed out on the year previously, he would go on to be a starting midfielder in the 2021 colts grand final and achieve the ultimate success.
Later he would break his way into the league side in his final year of colts at the young age of 20. This was an impressive accomplishment achieved by very few.
Well done Brendo, first milestone of many!
Give ’em hell and bring the fire like you always do and I’m sure it will be a great day for you. Enjoy and celebrate in style with a win!!

Brae has been committed to the club since the inaugural season of the women’s team back in 2020.
She is a powerful player in the contest with great breakaway speed and is as tough as nails.
A tackling machine with great skills and strong willpower, Brae has the ability to get from contest to contest and consistently makes repeat efforts to win the ball for her team.
Brea is a valued and respected player by her peers and a terrific club person. Well done Brae, fantastic achievement. I’m sure the girls will be up and about and will put in that extra effort to ensure the team continues to win for you and go 5 and 0 for the season!!
