Chain Links …
Chain links are the combination of all tricks, devices and schemes into one interconnected arrangement.
Dong Zou held the power during the Han Dynasty (206 BC–220 AD) was an exceeding cruel person.
After inviting members of his Court to a party, he would display captured enemy soldiers for entertainment.
He would then behead them or cut off their hands and feet or carry out some other despicable act on these unfortunate prisoners.
He would continue to party without raising an eyebrow about what was going on oblivious to the bloodshed.
The court members all felt sooner or later they would all become victims of Dong Zou as he was too strong to plot against.
He had total control over the Emperor and the protection of his stepson, Lu Bu, one of China’s legendary military heroes.
Wong Yuen, a man of little wealth and power was determined to overthrow Dong Zou.
He knew that both Dong Zou and Lu Bu had a weakness for beautiful women. Wong Yuen devised a strategy to use this weakness.
He first invited Lu Bu to meet his beautiful stepdaughter, who became
infatuated with her and asked for her hand.
Wong Yuen agreed. Wong Yuen then invited Dong Zou to his home.
He also fell for Diao Chan and wanted to marry her and make her one of his wives.
Both men thought they were the only one to have the hand of Diao Chan.
Dong Zou immediately married Diao Chan.
Lu Bu could not protest her marriage to his stepfather, because Chinese ways required that Lu Bu respect his elder’s wishes.
The inevitable happened, with Lu Bu continuing to see Diao Chan, who was trapped in the marriage and very unhappy. Finally, Lu Bu arranged the murder of his stepfather, thus ending the tyrants grip on China.
This plan utilised the beauty trap and the fire burning across the river.
A conflict of interest had been created between the two men when they fell in love with the same woman.
The conflict was the fire burning between them.
Old Wong Yuen also borrowed Lu Bu’s hand to kill, thus accomplishing a set of strategies to accomplish his goal.
