Congratulations to Kevin McGrath who played his 150 game for the Kalamunda Cougars against Swan Athletic in round 11 at the Swan Athletic Sporting Club.
Kevin started his journey back in 2015, in the days when the club was in A grade. He is a strong contested player with a highly competitive mindset.
His aggressiveness to burst through tackles or stand up in a tackle drawing multiple defenders, gives his teammates the advantage.
Kevin has a high footy IQ and can play a variety of roles. He is a vocal leader and well respected by his peers.
He has played at every level at the club (1s,2s,3s,4s and colts) and kicked a goal in each grade as well, a feat not many have claim to.
This speaks to his love of the game and an attitude that he will do whatever he can for the club to succeed.
Kevin was a solid contributor to reserves team last season winning his first premiership medallion at the club. He finished the year with 31 goals (9th in the club’s leading goalkicking award).
Well done, Kev, been a fan of yours since day one, we love the aggression you attack the ball with and the way you take the game on, it’s a pleasure to watch. We are wrapped for you in achieving a premiership last year that was so well deserved and wish you well in your future career.
