In round 9 at McDonald Reserve the Cougars suffered their worst defeat at that stage of the season, going down to the league leaders by 50 points’.
It was evident in the first quarter that an undermanned Cougars side were going to have a tough time matching the height and the physical presence of the Warriors.
This was played out in the following three quarters as the Warriors went from strength to strength brushing aside a courageous Cougars side to win by 60 points.
Final score: Whitford 15.14 – 104, Kalamunda 7.2 – 44

The League side in finishing in 6th position on the PFL ladder, achieved their objective of avoiding any chance of relegation to ‘C’ grade with the aim of building strength, skills and maturity for the forthcoming season in 2027.
He congratulated the Colts and Thirds for making it into the finals and urged everyone to support them this coming Saturday. Our Ladies side just missed out on finals and Steve Cheshire their coach was thanked for his commitment and support during the season.
Tyler Mouritz was congratulated as he won the goal kicking award for the ‘B’ grade competition this season!
Coach Bolton paid special tribute to our President Brenton Lucas and Director of Football Pete Harty for their outstanding leadership in a very difficult year for the club.
