Monday 28 October 2019 US President Donald Trump has confirmed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed during a special operations forces mission in Syria. "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead", President Trump said as he delivered an address from the White House in Washington on Monday. Mr Trump said the ISIS leader - who he described as "the world's number one terrorist leader" - was "brought to justice".
