Limericks

We have a good batsman called Kelly,

Who when diving for the crease hurt his belly,

His captain said retire, but he yelled his desire,

 ‘On ninety-nine, not on your Nellie!’

This limerick is dedicated to Dave Kelly one of the senior players in our 1st grade side.
Dave, pictured above is coming from the field after making over 60 runs in a recent association final match played at the WACA ground in Perth. He was awarded the ‘player of the match’ trophy for his efforts which capped of a stellar weekend for him having made 64 the previous day in a club match at Ray Owen oval.
