Congratulations to Liam Jones who played his 100th game for the Kalamunda Cougars in Round 8, last Saturday against Collegians at Harmony Fields in Maddington.
Known by most as ‘Jonesy’ he is a wirey and rangey utility player capable of locking down a key position down back or jumping over the top of the opposing ruckman, then working them over around the ground with his high work rate and intensity.

Liam was taught a harsh lesson early in his career after missing out on the colts 2020 flag.
To his credit he stuck at it, worked hard on his craft at training and game days and promised himself that if he ever got in that position again, he would make it impossible for the coach not to pick him.
As a result he is now a triple premiership player (colts 2021 & 22) and reserves last season (2025), a truly remarkable effort and great display of perseverance and never give up attitude.

Well done Jonesy, the fight you show each and every week is very underrated but I’m sure it doesn’t go unnoticed by your coach. It has been a great 100 games with many more to come, go well in the future and get plenty of wins!
