Congratulations to Jaya Terima who played his 50th game for the Kalamunda Cougars in round 14, 2025 when the Cougars took on the Melville Rams at Ray Owen reserve and won by 16 points 8.15 – 63 to Melville 7.5 – 47
Jaya is the ultimate team man who has the smarts and ability to impact the game himself at a high level as well as bringing his teammates into the game with a smile. He is a great decision maker with a bottomless tank who works incredibly hard each and every week.
He was premiership player with the colts in 2022 and then after a year off, came back in 2024 winning the Alex ‘Beefy’ Keeffe medal. This year he has taken his game to another level debuting for the league team and has not missed a game all season.
Well done, Jaya, love the joy and spirit you bring to the team every week. Its been great to see you elevate your game to new heights this year and play many more for the Cougars!
Congratulations also to Ben Dupont who played his 100th game for the Kalamunda Cougars in round 14, 2025 against the Melville Rams at Ray Owen reserve winning by 76 points 13.13 – 91 to Melville 2.3 – 15
Ben is a rock-solid lockdown defender, capable of blanketing an opponent to the point where the opposition coach contemplates handing out missing person flyers!
He is very good one on one and does all the one percenter’s consistently well.
Ben made his debut for the club back in 2020 and was pulled straight out of the Colts group to play League as an 18-year-old, which is incredibly rare.
He won a flag in his very first year for the Colts in a thrilling one-point win over Willetton.
Ben has amassed 84 league games in 5 seasons (including covid year 2020), a mark of his durability, consistency and reliability. He is a champion clubman and leader and looks forward to a great future with the Cougars.
