Congratulations to Ben Holman who played his 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars this Saturday against Jandakot at Atwell Reserve.
Benny first came to the club back in 2017 where he coached the Reserves team and then debuted for the league side. A high footy IQ player with a laser left foot kick who shows tremendous courage and leadership week in, week out. Has had some shocking injuries over the journey but his desire for the game and his mental toughness is to be admired.
A great clubman and family man who is passionate and eager to see the club grow from strength to strength.
Well done on your milestone Benny. I hope you enjoyed the win and celebrated in style on Saturday!
Congratulations also to Ashleigh Minson who played her 50th club game for the Kalamunda Cougars this Saturday at Millington Oval, Scarborough.
Ash has shown great commitment and leadership through her career and has been part of the women’s team since the beginning in 2020. A versatile player that can be damaging with her run off half back but also dangerous up forward, kicking six goals last season and in the best players most weeks.
Ash is a highly valued and skilled player that has been influential to the team over the years.
We have only seen the women’s team grow and improve every year since the start and she has been one of the main contributors.
Well done Ash on your milestone and to win against Scarborough. I’m sure the girls will be up and about for a celebration, Go well and enjoy it!!
Congratulations to Cooper Parker who played his 50th club game last Saturday for the Kalamunda Cougars in the C1 reserves Atwell Park Jandakot.
Cooper nicknamed ‘Boots’ for his booming long kick, is off to a brilliant start in his Cougars career becoming a Colts Premiership player in his first two seasons 2021 & 2022).
An explosive livewire up forward that prides himself on his tackling and thrives on winning the contested ball and one on one contests. A big game player that stands up in crucial moments in games and deservedly was awarded best player of the finals for 2023.
